The goal of the COTSOES is to establish effective cooperation among the central government translation and terminology services in European countries.
To this end, the
COTSOES encourages:

exchanges of information, experiences and documentation in the fields of translation and terminology;

mutual assistance in the field of translation and terminology;

the coordination and implementation of programmes and projects relating to translation and terminology;

cooperation in the field of professional training and in all other fields affecting government translators or terminologists.
